One of the highlights of every year's conference is the original research presentation by students - Doctoral, Masters, and undergraduates - from throughout the Northwest. While most of the student presenters are responsible for research poster presentations during Friday evening ACSM Northwest Social, a select group students are given the opportunity to give 10-minute slide presentations to the entire conference during Saturday morning's Student Oral Presentations. Both poster and slide presenations by our region's students are a testament to our Chapter's future leaders in the field of Sports Medicine and should not be missed.

2015 Conference Information

The ACSM Northwest Chapter is proud to support the 2015 ACSM Northwest Annual Conference. The 2015 conference is expected to attract 300+ students and professionals from the fields of Exercise Science and Sports Medicine from the states of Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Montana. This conference represents the single best opportunity for sports medicine professionals to make an impact with ACSM Northwest members through product displays, speaker and workshop opportunities, student research presentations and awards, as well as several social events.

Built in 2006 and located within scenic Bend, OR, the Riverhouse Convention Center is truly a beautiful conference venue that typifies the exposed wood beam architecture for which the Pacific Northwest is well known. The conference center lobby is as striking as the outside of the building with plenty of open space for professional networking, as well as plenty of  Wi-Fi access throughout the hotel and convention center. Conference lodging is provided through The Riverhouse Hotel, which is a short 100 m walk away from the conference center itself along the beautiful Deschutes River. Of course, opportunities for world class alpine and Nordic skiing are a short drive away on nearby Mt. Bachelor and the surrounding Cascade Mountain range. This is certainly one ACSM Northwest Annual Conference that you will not want to miss!
